Oh my, where has the time gone since our last post! We have had a busy team of 3 smashing out the jobs week after week, and marketing/posting got a bit neglected 🙃💪

My apprentice is attending a 4 week Uni training block and we used this opportunity to go to México so my wife of nearly three years can meet my Mexican side of the family for the first time 😃

At Solpac, we love a challenge. Life would be boring if everything was easy 😆

Here is a solar system we completed recently with a 36 degree roof. Anything about 25 degrees slows us down, and we can feel every degree in our ankles, not to mention everything slides off the roof! This was a challenging job to say the least, but we got it done safely and compliantly at a high standard. What would I do without the awesome boys on the job 💪😁

Happy 2025!!

What an exciting way to spend the last week of the 2024... Me and the two legends installed the solar system of my dreams on our own home, complete with a wall mounted monitoring system ☀️🔋⚡😍

We removed the existing grid only 12kW solar system with a Fronius 8.2kW inverter and upgraded to a 10kW hybrid/off-grid inverter with 17.1kW of solar panels, coupled to 25kWh of batteries for energy storage. Check out those Aiko solar panels outperforming their spec sheet rating!

This will run our home indefinitely including air conditioning without any grid assistance required, for an amortized cheaper price than what the electricity retailer charges ! Oh what a feeling!

A big part of part of what we do for optimizing our customers loads. We strongly suggest every one of our clients to install a hot water timer the same time as a solar installation and most people do! We also come around to your house when you already have solar and install these timers for you to help save your hundreds of dollars a year on water heating costs.

Switching water heaters to charge during the day can soak up solar and make sure electricity supply and demand match. A new, real-world trial has put this technique to the test.

Our exciting announcement... Solpac has started Chris on his electrical apprenticeship journey, with his CQU induction completed this week, woohoo!

In the past 6 months as a casual, Chris has proven himself to be a very dedicated and focused worker, with a relentless pursuit do his best (and outdo himself). We knew very quickly Chris was a rare breed and couldn't let him go! 🤣

No doubt his vast life skills will help in his endeavour into the electrical trade. Some of Chris's past experience is in the air force cadets, butchery, RA pilot, aged care worker, home maintenance business, working at industrial sites as a process technician and more. 🤯

Best of all, Chris has gone well beyond apprentice requirements and shown himself to be a special friend, sharing plenty of laughs and bro chats. We look forward to the years ahead working together 💪 🌞
