Small electrical issues usually don’t stay small for very long.

Mid-year is a good time to check how your home’s electrical system is holding up, especially after summer storms, increased appliance use, and heading into the colder months.

Switchboards, safety switches, outdoor fittings, smoke alarms, wiring… there are a few key areas worth checking before problems start showing up unexpectedly.
We’ve broken down what homeowners should be looking for in our latest blog.

Older homes carry a lot of character.

They can also carry wiring that was never designed for the way modern households use power today.

We regularly come across ageing insulation, overloaded circuits, and older systems hidden behind beautiful heritage finishes.

The challenge is upgrading safety without compromising the home itself.

It’s one of those situations where what you can’t see matters most.

The best electrical work in a home like this is the part you barely notice.

Lighting, automation, power, data, and integration all need to disappear into the architecture without competing with the design itself.

Projects at this level rely on coordination long before the finishes go in.

Every fitting location, concealed cable path, and integrated system needs to feel intentional once the home is complete, even the parts hidden behind the walls.

Proud to have been part of this Mosman project alongside an incredible team of designers, builders and collaborators.

Feature lighting only works when the install is just as considered as the design itself.

Every fitting in this home needed to line up properly, sit cleanly within the space, and deliver the right feel once the sun went down.

There’s a lot happening behind the scenes to make lighting feel effortless when it’s finished.

That’s the part we enjoy most.

Outdoor electrical doesn’t get checked as often as it should.

Out of sight tends to mean out of mind, until something stops working.

Rain, moisture, and exposure can wear things down over time.

Loose fittings, cracked covers, or water getting where it shouldn’t can all become problems.

A quick check now can prevent a bigger issue later.

Homes have changed.

They demand more power, more connectivity, and more intelligent control than ever before.

From integrated lighting to energy management systems, the electrical design behind modern houses needs to be just as advanced as the architecture.

Modern homes require modern electrical thinking.

There’s no handover at the end of the day.
No passing responsibility to someone else.

When it’s a family business, the standard is personal.

Every job reflects on the name, not just the company.

That tends to change how decisions get made, how work gets done, and how clients are looked after long-term.

It’s not about being bigger. It’s about being consistent.

The day usually begins before the streets are busy.

Vans arriving.
Tools unloaded.
First checks of the site.

Getting started early means trades can coordinate properly, problems get solved faster, and the whole project keeps moving.

A quiet start often leads to a productive day.

The same job, same materials, same standard.

What you’re seeing here is the result of planning before the first cable goes in.

Clear routing, consistent spacing, and structure that makes the system easy to follow, not just now, but for anyone working on it later.

It’s not about making it look neat for a photo.

It’s about building something that works properly, stays accessible, and holds up over time.

𝘡𝘰𝘰𝘮 𝘪𝘯...

This is the part most people never see, but it matters.

Cable routing, spacing, and termination all play a role in how the system performs over time.

We're not just making it look tidy, we're making sure everything is safe, serviceable, and built to last.

When the details are handled properly, the rest of the job follows.
