What is a Variable Speed Peristaltic Pump?

If you're looking for a pump that can handle variable speed settings, then you'll want to check out peristaltic pumps. This pump utilises a rotor that squeezes a tube in at least 2 points. As the rotor turns, the compression point moves, forcing the fluid to move as well. As the roller passes along, the tube expands again creating a vacuum, this pulls more fluid into the pump. Another Digintel project complete....

Project Scope: Install associated cabling, protection and components to supply power to 9 x Safety Showers (supplied from Enware Australia Pty Ltd).
Design, install/terminate, calibrate test and commission loss of water supply pressure alarm IO at each shower and flow indication (shower activation) alarm IO including output to the Defence Fuel Installation ESD system at all showers.
Calibrate and commission associated IFM pressure and flow switches at each shower. During commissioning phase we ensured operation of local alarm beacons, emergency shut down system and corresponding control system IO at each local HMI via a Schneider Electric Advantys remote IO racks and master PLC install at local fuel bunkering system control panels, as well as all IP ratings and materials were sufficient of installation on wharf (harsh marine environment).

Digital Intelligence replaced the old displacement type level transmitters with new guided wave radar type Rosemount Level transmitters. The job also included calibration and testing to the Yokogawa DCS (Centum VP)
