Beautiful big Large Citrus Butterfly (Papilio aegeus) found on a lemon tree having a good old munch. When disturbed the caterpillar erects it’s bright red osmeterium from behind the head, releasing the smell of citrus to drive away predators but that didn’t scare away me

The evolution of a dragon, now just to wait for it to hatch so I can ride it to work.
This Annona tree has only seen a handful of fruit in the last 20+ years of its life but with some delicate hand pollination and a nice wet year I was able to get it to hold the most fruit it’s ever had

This is what happiness looks like to me. A big, hot, steaming pile of what once was old silage that never got used and ended up decomposing in the paddock. This will be used as a thick mulch (up to half a meter thick) to suppress weeds as well as feed and protect the soil

Some “wild” Russian garlic (Allium ampeloprasum) growing in a paddock I was lucky enough to come across. This particular patch of garlic has been growing, without any external help for the last 100+ years, so it will be perfect for the local area. Cannot wait to plant it next winter

Native Black Plum (Planchonella australis) is a tall rainforest tree found on the East Coast of Australia. The juicy fruit which ripen and drop in late spring and summer were eaten by both aboriginals and early settlers, often been made into jams and preserves.
