NEPG’s Story

Hi and welcome to my new page, I was advised its time to get with the program of Social Media and venture into the 21st century...lol

My name is Keith Newbury, owner and operator of Newbury Elite Plumbing and Gas. I have nearly 30 years experience in this industry. This my story about myself and how NEPG came to be! Grab a cuppa and enjoy the ride!

I successfully completed a city and guilds 5 year with Advanced Craft Plumbing and Gas apprenticeship at LLandaff Technical collage in Cardiff Wales in 1995. I then worked for a large building company in Cardiff specialising in all aspects of plumbing/heating and gas works for the next 5 years.

My life long ambition was always to emigrate to Australia and in 2000 I obtained my permanent visa. I arrived in July of that year and started to pursue my career. I re-qualified at Tafe in Perth and Fremantle and soon found employment.

I worked as a sub-contractor for a small plumbing and gas company from 2000-2007 specialising in domestic and commercial installation and maintenance all over the Perth area, all while gaining vast knowledge of the different aspects of Plumbing and Gas works in Western Australia.

I very much enjoyed working for them, and although was very well treated I always knew I wanted to be the boss of my own company.

In 2008 I enrolled in MPA Maylands and gained my plumbing contractors licence and established Newbury Elite Plumbing and Gas.

Over the last 10 years I have been fortunate to watch my company grow. From just myself, to employees, to undertaking the training and qualifying of 2 apprentices. It was hard work but also very rewarding.

In 2019 I now find myself turning to a new outlook and direction. Seeing past employees move forward and establish their own careers and apprentices leave, I have decided to keep the running capacity of NEPG to just myself.

When you call NEPG you are talking to me (Keith), and all works undertaken will be done by myself. I consider myself to be an honest, reliable and very trustworthy person that takes great pride in his work.

I'm a very glass half full sort of guy with a passion for life and music. I have always set myself goals and strive to the best of my ability to achieve them. My standards are high and that is what my clients should expect from NEPG.
