Next weekend, I’ll be riding 200km to raise funds for cancer research in honor of my dad, who sadly lost his battle to cancer earlier this year.

I know many of my friends and family have supported me in the past, and I would love to see even a small donation from as many people as possible.

About THE ROLE

Straight to the point – this role is for someone who is going to help us become leaders in the maintenance division. Plumber & Gas fitter by title but also a partner in our business plan and vision. In our ‘scope of work’ we cover off on all gas fitting and servicing, hot water repairs and maintenance, drain and Jetting services, installation and repair of fixtures and appliances and occasionally bathroom renovations. You will need to genuinely enjoy plumbing maintenance.

We are not looking for any normal tradesperson. We are looking for a plumber that wants to feel proud to put on the uniform and be in a team that is known for quality. Someone that can see the bigger picture and understandings the values of what we trying to achieve with a goal in sight. We want you to be an ace on the tools but more importantly we want you to represent our company as if it was your own.

As a minimum we do require our future employees to have the following.

- Strong residential and commercial maintenance experience

- Plumbing and Gas Licence

- C Class (Manual) drivers licence

- Police Clearance

Thank you so much to all my friends and family for the support and generous donations. Because of you I was able to raise $5541 in just over four days, that will go towards finding a cure for cancer.
Every message and donation inspired and encouraged me to push through the pain and discomfort to complete the 200km ride over the weekend. Words can’t describe how grateful I am to be able to contribute to this cause and have the support of amazing people around me. Thank You!

This year will be the toughest yet, I will be riding for my Dad, in the Maca 200km cancer ride this weekend!

Earlier this year I broke my arm so I have not trained once and ruled myself out of this year’s ride. Last Monday I had an operation to remove the dorsal plate that held my bone in place during the recovery. Now a week on, I’m reflecting on why I have participated in this ride for the last 2 years, and It’s obvious that I am raising funds for people that live with cancer and who endure more pain and suffering than most of us could ever begin to imagine.
So, with this in mind I have decided to get on the bike in 4 days time and ride as far as my body and mind will allow me. I might not finish the 200 kms but will do my best for people who need help and support more than I do.
This year it’s more personal and closer to home. My Dad who has fought and battled with brain cancer for the last 21 years is currently back in hospital. He has done so much for me over the years, so this is a small sacrifice to show my appreciation.
I am also riding to thank all the medical staff and nurses, who dedicate their lives in helping others.
