Good gardens are built. The best ones are grown — this one took five years.
There's no single "after" photo that explains this Bondi courtyard, because it was never one project. It's been an ongoing stewardship project since 2020: the canopy managed, the soil fed, the palette added to season by season. The bones — that circular corten bed, the curved lawn, the black boundary walls — only work because everything growing around them has been looked after the whole way.
This is what an ongoing maintenance relationship actually produces. Not tidiness. This.
