Southern Highlands Pest Control

Meet Joseph, our Southern Highlands pest control legend! 🐜

Joseph joined the APC team back in February and has been a fantastic addition to the crew!

Based in Wollongong, Joseph spends plenty of his time looking after our Southern Highlands clients, specialising in general pest control. He's become a familiar, friendly face around the area and brings a great sense of humour wherever he goes.

Joseph is definitely one of a kind! A gentle giant with a funny personality and a wealth of knowledge on some pretty interesting topics. From ancient gods and mythology to all sorts of unusual subjects, he's always got something interesting to talk about. Get him started on something he's passionate about and you'll be amazed at just how much he knows!

He brings plenty of character, good laughs and a positive attitude to the APC team, and we're lucky to have him on board.

Thanks for being part of the team, Joseph! 👏

🚨 European Wasp Alert – Southern Highlands 🚨
We’re starting to see an increase in European wasp activity, including large nests hidden in roof voids and wall cavities like the one pictured.

⚠️ European wasps are aggressive, will defend their nest, and can sting multiple times. Nests are often out of sight, making them especially dangerous around homes, sheds, and workplaces.

🔍 Common signs of a nest include:
Increased wasp activity around eaves or roofs
Wasps entering/exiting the same point
Buzzing sounds in walls or ceilings

❌ Do not attempt DIY treatment – disturbing a nest can result in serious stings.

✅ Professional removal is recommended to ensure the nest is treated safely and effectively.

If you’ve noticed wasp activity or want peace of mind, get in touch with us.
