Sydney Royal Easter Show 2026- where do we even begin!
A little late with the show post, but coming down from cloud 9 and back on WA time 👌😂

We are just so thrilled and over the moon to see Venturon Starstruck 172S be awarded the Hordern Perpetual trophy along with the great people at Caloona Charolais with their Grand champion bull. To travel the cattle 52 hours and come home with the top gong truly is such a special feeling and we will never forget Sydney 2026! Being the first Western Australian to win this award makes the award mean even more to us.

In the Charolais judging we had some amazing results under the respected eye of Mr Peter Cook, Barana Simmentals and Angus NSW.
Results-
Senior and Grand Champion female and Supreme Charolais exhibit- Venturon Starstruck 172S.
Junior Champion female- Venturon Naughty But Nice W90
Reserve Junior Champion female- Venturon Gayle V218
Senior Champion bull- Venturon Verified V81

We were also honoured to win the Most Successful exhibitor of the show as well as our 5th consecutive year of most points in the Charolais breed and best maintained team over 5 head in the Charolais.

One of our highlights of the day was being awarded 1/2/3/4 in the Under 12 month female class where our Junior champion female came out of.
Another truly special moment was winning the Dams progeny class with the progeny of the Hordern winning female, 172S as well as the sires progeny class with 172S et brother, Venturon Showbiz 161S.
A massive congratulations to the Frizzell family of Wakefield Charolais stud with their reserve junior champion Charolais bull, sired by Showbiz. That makes Showbiz the sire of both of the reserve junior champions and the senior champion bull and ET brother to the senior champion female!

We are so proud of how our team looked and performed this year and we want to thank our team for their dedication and help to get to this point- Bolts and Lisa, Gus, Brooke, Sam, TWD, Alizah, Tom, Josh and Jack, Monique, Will, Lonnie and Glen for the help show day!
Also to Summer and James/ the King family who helped us out show day and showed the two females they purchased out of our sale. We can’t wait to see how they go at their new homes!

A massive thank you to Neill for keeping the show running at home- feeding, calving and tagging AI calves and keeping the wheels turning and Clem and Lynda for staying so we could all enjoy this moment together!

I think it’ll take a while for this Sydney to sink in, but we’d like to thank everyone who helped us to get to this point. The messages, comments, calls and visits have meant the world.
We now turn our attention to the Charolais World Congress being held at Brisbane EKKA! We hope to see you all there 👌

The cattle are now having a well deserved relax after there 52 hour journey 👌

A massive thank you to Darren Burrow for jumping in the truck with Harris and helping get the team to SA- Absolute legend! Also to Gus for driving down the rest of the way.

Another thank you to the Fogden family for their unreal hospitality again and letting us spell the team there. You guys are the best and we couldn’t get the cattle here as happy as they are without you 🤝

Well Golden Arm Genetics broke in the new van today with a bang! 🧬🤩

We were honoured to be the first flush program through Richard and Liz Halls brand new state of the art mobile ET lab. To make things even better, we had our best day of flushing ever at VL with 85 embryos retrieved from 8 donors 👌
Always top tier work from the man with the Golden Arm and Liz. We look forward to these new genetics hitting the ground next year.

Highlight of the day was definitely Coonamble L319 flushing 16 😮‍💨🍻

We had a great weekend at the Manjimup show this past weekend under judge Mr Thomas Spencer.

▪️Nutrien Champion Pen of Two 2025 born heifers: Venturon Livestock and Pratico Family.
▪️Nutrien Champion Unled Female and Elders Supreme Unled Exhibit- Venturon Pollyanna W1. This was her second weekend in a row winning this award and we are excited for her future.

We kicked off our 2026 campaign with a bang at our favourite show in the west 👌

With the weather aside it was a really enjoyable weekend and we’d like to thank to the Wagin committees for such a well run show with top-tier hospitality!

Cattle-
We backed up our 5th straight supreme exhibit showing at Wagin with some other tremendous results with our team of 5 under judge Hayden Green of Summit Livestock, NSW.

▪️Supreme beef exhibit with our 10-month-old heifer calf, Venturon Naughty But Nice W90 after she was sashed interbreed heifer.
▪️Interbreed and Euro senior champion bull- Venturon Vengeance V218
▪️Interbreed and Euro junior champion bull- Venturon McQueen W118. Fitting award for him with his dad being supreme livestock exhibit at last year’s Wagin Show!
▪️Venturon Starstruck 257U was the Senior Champion female with her calf at foot.
▪️Venturon Starstruck W98 stood second to W90 and they then teamed up to win the interbreed pair of heifers.

Unled-
▪️Our Angus heifer, Venturon Pollyanna W1, was supreme unled exhibit after being champion unled female and Venturon Prosecco W32 was reserve champion unled female.
▪️Venturon Walking In Memphis W130 was reserve champion bull.
▪️Our pair of Charolais heifers were sashed the reserve champion pair of females by a point!

Sheep-
In a massive White Suffolk showing we are so proud of our results under judge Tim Jorgensen of Mertex studs, Vic.
▪️In the rams we won all of the classes we were in- 1st & 3rd May class, 1st & 5th June class and 1st in pair of rams. 250060 went on to be champion white suffolk ram and interbred champion ram.
▪️In the ewes we stood 1st & 2nd in the May class and 1st in the June. We then went on to be reserve champion Whire Suffolk ewe as well.
▪️With our first Charollais showing at Wagin we were stoked to be awarded the reserve interbreed ewe with our August-born ewe lamb. A great result for the breed at there first WA State Sheep Show.

A massive thank you to our two helpers Connor in the cattle with Han and Sam in the sheep shed with Harris. Thank you to Kayden, Brenton and Ash for jumping in and leading sheep to. We have so many other great people that pitch in to give a hand and we can’t thank them all enough.

This is the first chance this year to get your hands on SVY MAYFIELD! Last year we only sold 2 x 10 straw packages and this year we’ve decided to release another bit out.

🚨The first SVY Mayfield daughter to be shown wins supreme beef cattle exhibit at the 2026 Wagin Woolorama under judge Hayden Green!

Hayden made the comment that she is truly a unique individual that is extremely hard to recreate! Our other Mayfield daughter stood second to her in a great class to show the depth of quality he is producing. These are the females Mayfield is leaving us with and super stout commercially-focused bulls!

We will also offer only for the second time Venturon Showbiz semen! His first daughter last year showed to be the Supreme Charolais Exhibit at Adelaide Royal while another son just won supreme Charolais for the Frizell family in NSW, and his sons sold the house down at our sale recently!

There will also be an opportunity to grab proven sires like Fan Favourite and Holy Water who have done an amazing job around the country and for us!
