🏝️ Building a pool on Bribie Island? Get the electrical side sorted early. ⚡️

A look back at the electrical work carried out during the construction of this beautiful Bribie Island pool.

It was great to play a small part in this project, which went on to win Best Residential Swimming Pool at the 2024 Master Builders Queensland Housing & Construction Awards — a fantastic result for everyone involved.

One important tip if you’re planning a new pool: make sure your pool builder gets a licensed electrician involved before the concrete pour.

Electrical provisions and any required equipotential bonding need to be considered at the right stage of construction. Once the concrete has been poured, some of those opportunities are gone and alterations can become much more difficult.

⚡ Sauna Electrical Installation – Sandstone Point

Something a little different for JPA Electrical!

Electrical installation completed for this fantastic outdoor sauna in Sandstone Point, including a dedicated circuit for the sauna heater, local isolation and additional power for the sauna.

With the sauna tucked into this beautiful tropical setting, a bit of thought went into keeping the electrical installation as neat and unobtrusive as possible.

Even better to hear from the customer that it’s now been fired up and is “working a treat!” 😊

Three-phase supply upgrade completed in the Bribie Island area. ⚡

This project included a new property-pole service arrangement, upgraded three-phase consumer mains, switchboard and submain alterations, Energex connection coordination, new three-phase metering, labelling, testing and commissioning.

If you’re planning higher-demand equipment such as EV charging, a spa, larger air-conditioning loads, a sauna, solar, battery storage or other substantial electrical loads, upgrading to three-phase may be worth considering and can help future-proof your electrical supply.

🔧 Another switchboard transformation completed on Bribie Island! ⚡

This customer’s existing switchboard had signs of ageing and evidence of vermin activity. Rather than a simple tidy-up, we carried out an internal rebuild to provide a safer, cleaner and more reliable installation while reusing the existing metal enclosure.

✅ New Hager RCBO protection installed
✅ New 3-phase main switch and busbar
✅ All circuits re-terminated and clearly labelled
✅ Vermin debris removed and cable entry points sealed
✅ Fully tested and compliant on completion
