If you’ve recently had a transfer switch installed and are using a generator, please be prepared for upcoming weather or power outages. Ensure your generator is properly maintained, fueled, and ready to go when needed. Make sure your transfer switch is functioning correctly to seamlessly switch between utility power and generator power.

⚡️ Preparing for Storms – Generator & Powerline Safety! ⚡️

With some wild weather possibly on the way, we’ve had a surge of inquiries about generator changeover switches. If you’re looking to get one installed or need a generator check-up, we’ve got availability early this week—just send us a message or text to secure a spot!

Storm Prep – Be Ready for Power Outages

✅ Run your generator to ensure it’s working properly.
⛽ Top up your fuel supply so you’re not caught short.
🔌 Inspect your extension cords and power outlets for safety.
🌬️ Set up your generator in a well-ventilated space to prevent carbon monoxide buildup.

Powerline Safety – Stay Alert!

⚠️ Stay at least 8 metres away from any fallen powerlines—always assume they are live.
⚠️ Report fallen or damaged powerlines immediately to your local electricity provider.
⚠️ Never touch trees, fences, or vehicles that may be in contact with powerlines.
⚠️ If powerlines are down near your home, avoid floodwaters and keep clear until emergency crews have secured the area.
