Echo Architects is seeking an experienced Architectural Graduate to join our team. This is a great opportunity for a talented designer who wants to take real ownership of their work and have a genuine impact within a close-knit but wide-reaching practice.

• About the role •

Brisbane based

You'll work directly alongside our directors from concept design through to documentation and delivery. Because we're a small team, you won't be pigeonholed - you'll get exposure across a variety of project typologies including multi-residential, hospitality, industrial, and retail.

• What we're looking for •

3-5 years' experience in an architectural practice

A relevant architectural Masters Degree

High Proficiency in Revit

Strong design sensibility and attention to detail

Good communication skills and the ability to thrive in a small, collaborative team

Working rights in Australia

Experience across any of our project typologies - multi-residential, hospitality, industrial, or retail - is a bonus.

Introducing Clement Lim • Graduate of Architecture.

Clement joins Echo full-time, relocating from Tasmania to Brisbane to pursue a more hands-on role in the industry. He brings solid technical knowledge and a level of experience that hits the ground running. We're glad to have him in the studio and look forward to what he'll bring to the work ahead.

• Echoing April •

April kept the studio moving at full pace - with construction milestones, new projects entering the pipeline, and continued growth across commercial, industrial, and multi-residential sectors.

📍 Projects & Milestones
• Tugan secured its Development Approval and has now transitioned into construction documentation - with Echo Architects engaged to take the project all the way through to construction
• Yarrabilba Warehouse is nearing the end of its Tender phase, with builders finalising submissions
• Windsor Boarding Facility is out for pricing, marking a major step toward construction
• Zillmere social housing building now entering construction
• Acacia Ridge Warehouse is nearing completion of construction documentation
• Boardwalk Tavern continues on site, with Stage 01 demolition completed and the project tracking well

🏗️ Design Pipeline
• A new warehouse at Corbould Park has entered early concept stage, adding to a growing industrial portfolio
• A second new warehouse project has joined the board, with design kicking off
• Our townhouse portfolio continues to advance across multiple projects simultaneously
• Sunshine Coast Airport sees continued and expanding scope of works
• Exciting new opportunities emerging in the vehicle showroom space

📐 Studio Growth The studio's pipeline spans the full project lifecycle - from sketch to site - with a strong mix of industrial, multi-residential, and commercial work reinforcing Echo's breadth as a practice.

🤖 AI & Automation April also saw our AI integrations kick up a notch. We've automated a significant number of business and admin processes this month - freeing the team up to focus on what matters most: the architecture.

🚀 From approvals to active sites, April set a strong pace heading into May.

March has been a big month at Echo Architects, with strong momentum across social housing, multi‑residential, hospitality, and commercial projects, while continuing to refine how we operate as a studio.

📍 Projects & Milestones
• Social Housing in Kippa Ring has completed feasibility studies, setting a clear pathway toward government funding
• Social Housing in Zillmere has achieved Building Approval
• Windsor Boarding Facility is progressing well through Design Development toward BA
• James Street House concept approved by the client
• Boardwalk Tavern is now on site and under construction
• Tile Showroom nearing completion of Design Development

🏗️ Design Pipeline
Multiple warehouse developments, shopping precinct refurbishments, and social clubs are progressing, with a strong balance between early-stage design and active delivery.

🏢 Studio Growth
We’re seeing continued growth in the multi‑residential sector, a growing team, and major advances in systems, workflows, and AI integration to improve efficiency and delivery.

📣 Brand & Reach
March also saw us expanding our reach through industry publications, marketing strategies, growing partnerships, and importantly, continued repeat work from clients.
