Over the past week, here at CASEDC Engineers, we were involved in structural designs of numerous habitable sheds, retaining walls and rise and build under projects which specially prove very popular at the moment. Rise and build under, provides the opportunity to preserve an existing house and add a floor underneath, creating a whole new building in the process while limiting the construction costs. Below is the real plan of a delivered project in the past week. Here at CASEDC Engineers, we believe in what the client envisions and we are determined to find ways for those visions to become realities. Safe and affordable structural designs that comply fully with the relevant Australian Standards is always our promise. Over the past week, CASEDC Engineers were involved in a number of fascinating projects involving all from of roof system designs, floor framing, footing design, etc. A very worthy example was the full structural design for the rise and build under project of the Holy Annunciation Orthodox Church of Woolloongabba. This unique and mature building brought with it some very interesting challenges which went well with the innovative minds of our engineers. The architectural vision for the heritage sited building came with wide open rooms in which walls were not welcome. This idea was to serve the purpose of having inclusive assembly areas in which an individual feels united with the environment. Bringing such vison to reality required thinking way outside of the box and some unprecedented floor and roof framing design to handle the structural loads without disrupting the peacefulness of what is inside. The outcome of the efforts was one that CASEDC engineers will be forever proud of. Delivering this project alongside the design for a roof rafter system and a dozen footings, floor framings, sheds and retaining walls; proved that while the challenges might vary, our willingness to take them on is always a constant. At CASEDC Engineers we are determined to bring to life, what can only be imagined.
