About the role
HT Road Surfacing is seeking experienced Asphalt Labourers/Operators to join our team on a casual basis, with full time opportunities for the right people. Based in Rocklea, QLD, this hands-on role will involve assisting with the preparation, laying and finishing of asphalt surfaces for a range of road construction, maintenance projects and Major Infrastructure Projects.

What you'll be doing
* Preparing the worksite and equipment for asphalt laying
* Operating machinery and equipment such as rollers, pavers and compactors
* Spreading, levelling and compacting asphalt to achieve a smooth, high-quality finish
* Cleaning and maintaining equipment and tools
* Ensuring compliance with all health, safety and environmental regulations
* Working collaboratively as part of a team to deliver projects on time and to a high standard

What we're looking for
* Proven experience as an Asphalt Labourer/operator or similar role in the construction/road works industry
* Ability to operate machinery and equipment such as rollers, pavers and compactors
* Good attention to detail and commitment to quality
* Willingness to work outdoors in a range of weather conditions
* Excellent teamwork and communication skills
* Current driver's licence and reliable transportation (MR or higher preferred or willing to obtain)

🚧 WE’RE HIRING – HC DRIVERS (SEMI & FLOAT) 🚚

HT Road Surfacing is a family-owned company in the asphalt and road surfacing industry, and we’re looking for multiple reliable and motivated HC Drivers to join our team. These are versatile roles involving both semi truck driving and float work, with the opportunity to transition into full-time positions for the right candidates.

📍 Yard: Willawong
💰 Above award wages (based on experience)
🚛 Automatic trucks
🕒 Day & night shift availability required

What you’ll be doing:
• Carting asphalt between plants and project sites
• Transporting machinery and equipment to and from job sites (float work)
• Loading and securing equipment in line with safety standards
• Assisting with asphalt works and general labouring when required
• Completing pre-start checks and required paperwork
• Keeping trucks and equipment clean and well-maintained
• Following all safety procedures and attending toolbox talks
• Working collaboratively with the crew on-site

We’re looking for:
✔ HC Licence (automatic trucks)
✔ White Card / Construction Card
✔ Strong commitment to safety
✔ Ability to pass drug & alcohol testing
✔ Reliable, professional attitude
✔ Flexibility to work day or night shifts
✔ Willingness to perform physical labour and assist the crew
✔ Float or machinery transport experience (highly regarded)
✔ Asphalt or road surfacing experience (preferred but not essential — training provided for the right candidates)
