From a backpacking holiday that never was, to building a legitimate project management consultancy.
It all started in 2018, but the roots go back to 2012 when a year-long backpacking trip to Australia turned into a career in the major civil construction , and a “yes” to a FIFO job i didn’t even understand!
That leap of faith led to working with mentors like Karl Yunker at Pensar , moving to Brisbane, and eventually taking the plunge to start PD Project Delivery Pty Ltd.
From our first project in Roma, Queensland, to major projects like Inland Rail in NSW and Bravus/Adani in North Queensland, we’ve grown from a “mum and dad business” to a team of 30+ people.
It’s been a rollercoaster, but 2025-2026 is shaping up to be our biggest year yet, full of growth and lessons learned.
What’s one unexpected turn that shaped your career path?
