Yes, we’re intentionally setting this Grass Tree on fire. 🔥

Grass Trees (Xanthorrhoea) are naturally adapted to fire, and a carefully managed burn can help remove the buildup of old, dead foliage around the crown and reveal that iconic trunk and fresh growth.

But this isn’t something to tackle without knowing what you’re doing. The timing, condition of the plant and surrounding environment all matter when deciding whether burning is appropriate.
