On Friday, over 700 people in the electrical industry got together wearing matching TradeMutt shirts for the TradeMutt / Trader Convo 26. Together, everyone raised $100,000 to support TIACS ✋💪

TIACS (This Is A Conversation Starter) offers free and confidential professional counselling sessions through phone and text to truckies, tradies and blue collar workers. They can help with things like stress, work issues, relationships, wellbeing, and mental health challenges like depression and anxiety.

⚡️Great advice from the Electrical Safety Office ⚡️

Every year in Queensland, around 70 children end up in the emergency department because of electrical injuries, and more than a third are under five years.

Protect your children from electric shocks and burns with these simple fixes around the home:

• Install and regularly test safety switches.
• Replace damaged outlets, switches or frayed leads.
• Install dummy plugs on all power points and power boards.
• Avoid overloading outlets.
• Keep electrical items away from baths and sinks.
• Keep cords and leads out of children’s reach.
• Teach older children how to plug and unplug safely.
• Choose electrical items with the Regulatory Compliance Mark (RCM).
• Always use a licensed electrician.
