A look behind the scenes at our Water Street project in Red Hill!

We enclosed the original deck to expand the upstairs kitchen layout, and the transformation has come together beautifully. From the framing and structural work through to the custom curved timber island, expansive windows pulling in natural light, and that statement stone splashback, the details on this space are next level.

The team is making steady progress across the entire upper level, with the bathroom makeover coming together right behind it.

Before you sign a building contract, ask these 5 questions to protect your budget and your build:

1. What allowances have been made?
Check the provisional sums and prime cost items. Ask how they were calculated.

2. Are you QBCC licensed? (For QLD)
Get their licence number and verify it on the QBCC website

3. What are the deposit and payment milestones?
Progress payments should be tied to completed stages of work, not dates.

4. Where are the 'TBCs'?
Vague or undefined items in the quote are where variations creep in later.

5. How will you communicate if something goes wrong?
Look for clear systems and regular updates, not radio silence.
