New Project Announcement | Self Storage Facility, Park Ridge

We are pleased to announce another project partnership with our valued client, Natgen, as construction commences on a new self-storage development in Park Ridge, Queensland.

Last Tuesday, representatives from Checkpoint Constructions and Natgen came together on site for the official groundbreaking ceremony, marking an important milestone in the delivery of this development.

Strategically located along the Mount Lindesay Highway, within one of South East Queensland’s rapidly growing residential corridors, the development will deliver a modern, purpose-built self-storage facility comprising more than 6,500 sqm of self-storage units, complemented by office and retail space, dedicated parking, integrated security systems and landscaped surrounds.

We look forward to working alongside Natgen and our project partners to bring this development to life.

Project Complete | Early Learning Centre & Gym

Checkpoint Constructions is proud to have completed this beautiful Early Learning Centre and Gym in Morayfield, bringing together education, wellbeing and community infrastructure within one integrated development.

Set across more than 6,500 sqm, the project comprises a 1,100 sqm Early Learning Centre designed to accommodate up to 150 children, alongside a 900 sqm gym facility and extensive external works, including ample on-site parking.

The ELC features eight activity rooms, five bottle preparation rooms, four sleep rooms, five bathrooms, a commercial-grade kitchen, administration and staff areas, together with three outdoor playscapes designed to encourage exploration, movement and connection with the natural environment.

A sincere thank you to our client for entrusting Checkpoint with the delivery of this development, and to our exceptional team, consultants, subcontractors and partners who helped bring this vision to life.

Following the successful fitout completed by Checkpoint Constructions in 2025, our team returned to Logan Rec Club to deliver the next stage of works – the refurbishment of five amenities across the club.

The project was carefully planned and delivered within a busy, operational environment, with our team working closely with the client and subcontractors to minimise disruption to members and guests while maintaining progress throughout construction.

It has been great to be back working with a valued client and continuing to build on an established relationship.

A huge congratulations and thank you to our project team, partners and subcontractors for their commitment and contribution to another quality project outcome.

Project Update | ELC & Gym Morayfield

The project continues to progress positively, with both the Early Learning Centre and Gym reaching key stages of completion as this community-focused development moves closer to reality.

A key transition from construction to occupation is now underway, with the Gym progressing through tenancy fit-out and the ELC entering its next phase of finishes and fix-out works.

Beyond the buildings, focus is increasingly turning to the broader site experience. Outbuilding works are underway, while soft landscaping has commenced, beginning to shape the connections between built form and public realm.

Project in Motion | Lyra, Chermside

There’s something exciting about seeing the rhythm of a project begin to take shape on site, and Lyra is continuing to progress strongly as construction moves through another key stage.

With both the Level 2 and Level 3 slabs now complete, the latest footage captures the scale of activity across the development as structural works, services rough-ins and site coordination continue advancing in parallel.

With works continuing to track well, we look forward to sharing further progress as Lyra continues to evolve.

Project Update | Lyra, Chermside

Progress continues to build at Lyra, with the project advancing steadily and key structural milestones being achieved on site.

The completion of the Level 2 slab represents another important step forward, with vertical elements already underway as the next stage of the structure begins to take form. It’s great to see the development coming together as each phase is delivered.

Project Update | StoreLocal Redland Bay

Strong progress continues on site, with the past month marking another key milestone across multiple levels of the build.

Structural works are advancing well, with major pours completed and core elements taking shape. At ground level, early services and fit-off activities are now underway, positioning the project strongly for the next phase.

Last Friday marked the final day of the 2026 BEYOND Cycling Challenge — 750km, five days, and over 12,000 metres of elevation.

This ride is about supporting TRACTION For Young People and the work they do every day with young people who need support at a critical point in their lives. Through hands-on programs and consistent mentoring, TRACTION helps build confidence, practical skills and a sense of direction.

Checkpoint Constructions was a proud Silver Sponsor of the MGD/Jones Day team, with our very own Craig Petersen taking on the challenge firsthand alongside an inspiring and committed group of riders and organisers - contributing to something that delivers real, lasting impact.

The fundraising total is now closing in on the $900,000 goal, with donations still open. Every contribution helps extend the reach of TRACTION’s programs and the number of young people they can support.
