We came across this during a switchboard inspection recently. It was caused by a loose connection that had been slowly heating up over time.

Issues like this don’t always give obvious warning signs, but they can turn into bigger problems if they’re left alone.

If you’ve noticed burning smells, flickering lights, buzzing sounds, or circuits tripping, it might be worth getting your switchboard checked.

Good thing we caught this one before it caused any further damage!

🚨 Queensland smoke alarm laws are changing!

From 1 January 2027, all owner occupied homes, townhouses and units must have interconnected photoelectric smoke alarms installed in the required locations throughout the home.

Many homeowners don't realise the changes apply to them, not just rental properties.

If your smoke alarms are more than 10 years old, aren't interconnected, or are only installed in hallways, it may be time to review your compliance.
