Engineered stone is one of the easiest surfaces in the kitchen to look after.

Warm soapy water for the daily clean. A gentle cream cleanser for the rare mark that won't budge ✅

The surface is non-porous, so nothing soaks in (like wine, oil, sauce all sits on top).

A bit of insight on engineered stone pricing for anyone shopping around.

Every supplier groups their stones into ranges. Six or seven colours per range, all at the same price.

Builders' range sits at the bottom - nice colour, light flake, very consistent. As you move up, the stone becomes more elaborate and starts looking closer to natural stone.

The good news is the price jump between ranges is usually only a few hundred dollars.

And if you're chasing the most natural look on the market, porcelain is hard to beat.

Wrapped up a beauty in Highvale this week.

The cabinetry was in good shape, so we left it alone, BUT the old benchtops and splashback were holding the whole space back.

So, we came in and installed new stone through the island and the splashback 😍

Love how this one has turned out.
