A massive thank you to the firies and emergency services that saved our office and shed from what could have been a devastating loss. We will still be on site this week but our office is unable to be occupied so we may be slow in our responses, we thank everyone in advance for the support and understanding.

We send our thoughts and love to the businesses that weren’t as lucky as us. But we are a community and we are here to help and support you while you rebuild. 🩵

🧱 DID YOU KNOW? 🤔 Concrete Mesh Chairs Actually Have a Pretty Important Job!

Ever seen those little plastic chairs sitting under steel mesh before a concrete pour? They're not there for a comfy seat! 😂🪑

They're called concrete mesh chairs or bar chairs, and they help hold the reinforcing mesh at the correct height so it sits in the right position inside the concrete.

💪 Why does that matter?
🔹 Correct positioning: Keeps the mesh at the specified height rather than sitting flat on the ground.
🔹 Strength where it counts: Helps the steel reinforcement work as intended once the concrete sets.
🔹 Proper concrete coverage: Helps ensure the steel has the required layer of concrete around it, protecting it and supporting durability.

Skip the chairs, and your mesh could end up sitting too low — and all that steel won't be doing its job as intended!

It's the little things that make a BIG difference. In concreting, getting the details right before the pour is just as important as the concrete itself. 👌

Tradie tip: It's not just about pouring concrete — it's about what goes underneath it! 🦺🔨

Before fancy kitchens, flash bathrooms and backyard BBQ slabs… there was mud.
Then some clever legend back in the day figured out if you mix crushed rock, sand, cement and water together — you get the backbone of just about every solid thing we build today.
The Romans were onto it early, using volcanic ash to build structures that are still standing. Fast forward a couple thousand years and here we are in Brisbane pouring driveways, house slabs and patios that’ll outlast the family dog 🐶
Concrete might not look glamorous when it’s wet and grey, but once it cures?
It’s tough as nails.
How it’s made (tradie edition):
🪨 Aggregate (rock + sand)
🧪 Cement (the glue that binds it)
💧 Water
Mix it right. Pour it right. Finish it right. Let it cure.
And boom — you’ve got the foundation of homes, sheds, workshops and backyard cricket pitches.
From footings to exposed aggregate driveways, concrete is what holds Aussie homes together. Solid. Reliable. Built to last — just how we like it.
