We are looking for someone with 2+ years landscape / construction supervisor experience, reliable and highly motivated to join our site construction team. We build concrete sleeper retaining walls across civil and private sites all over Brisbane, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast and Ipswich. This particular role is for a Brisbane based position.

Our current workload is increasing by the day and we are after someone that needs full time work with an immediate start.

Whether you wish to be a sub-contractor or an employee under wages we can accommodate both. Hours will vary from approx 40-50 per week Monday to Friday and the occasional Saturday if need be.

If you have experience in running successful teams, building retaining walls of any sort, or are someone that is interested to adapt from a similar trade and willing to grow within the company then we would like to hear from you.

Applicants must have their own transport, white card, smart phone, basic ppe (initial) work boots, excavator ticket is a huge bonus.

The job tasks and responsibilities you will be required to complete include but are not limited to.

- Daily communication with the Project Manager / Directors regarding works in progress.
- Direction of all site crew including subcontractors.
- Ensuring a continuous and active site presence to manage site personnel and machinery.
- Controlling ordering and signing off on deliveries.
- Ensuring efficient production and quality of works from subcontractors.
- Explaining the Key Performance Indicators to all onsite staff.

Skills and experience

Your experience in all of the following areas will be highly regarded:

- Minimum 5 years experience in the commercial landscape and / or civil construction industry.
- Minimum 2 years experience as a site supervisor or similar role.
- Sound knowledge of reading civil plans / RL levels, working out differences of rise and fall.
- Experience with concrete placement, setting beams, placing concrete sleepers.
- General Construction Induction Card (Whitecard)

Client relationship is everything in business, especially in a hard time like we are currently in and will continue to be in for a while to come. When you are able to rely and lean on each other it makes all the difference in getting projects over the line. We are all under working pressure but with effective communication everything will work out for the best of all parties.

CORRECT DRAINAGE

A lot of walls fail from geofabric,agi pipe and drainage gravel being incorrectly installed or none at all .Our rule of thumb is to firstly have the the Geofabric separating the retained embankment. Secondly making sure the slotted agi pipe is laid firmly on the ground with out points every 30 metres. Lastly having our drainage gravel 200mm below top of sleeper then folding the remaining Geofabric over the top and capping it with soil.
