Congratulations to Icon on taking home two major awards at the 2026 Master Builders Victoria Excellence in Construction Awards:

Master Builder of the Year - Commercial
Excellence in Highrise Apartment Buildings

Seafarers has transformed the historic Goods Shed No. 5 on Melbourne’s Northbank into a new mixed-use waterfront destination, combining heritage elements with a contemporary hotel, residences and public spaces.

EBSA is proud to have played a part in the project, supplying our MP2 Opposed Opening Louvre system (MP2-FL-OP).

Developed specifically for the Seafarers project in Melbourne, this bespoke louvre system features a unique dual blade opposed action that preserves sightlines while delivering superior natural ventilation and weather resistance. With a 1000 Pa water pe*******on rating, high wind load capacity and low air infiltration, the system addresses both performance and architectural intent, integrating seamlessly into the building’s double-glazed curtain wall façade Following a two-year development process, 111 bespoke louvres were produced for the project.

It is great to see the project recognised for the quality, complexity and ex*****on involved in bringing such a significant development to life.

Congratulations to Icon, Riverlee and everyone involved in Seafarers.

PR60 Operable Glass Roof System

The PR60 Operable Glass Roof system sets a new benchmark in overhead glazing, combining high-performance engineering with design flexibility. With Passive House Institute certification for its Energy Save variant, it meets stringent PHA requirements for energy efficiency.

Designed as a thermally broken system, the PR60 operable roof system minimises heat transfer while delivering natural daylight and ventilation. Unlike conventional skylights, it can span up to 5 metres unsupported and incorporates operable ventilation flaps, making it well-suited to both natural ventilation and smoke relief applications.

Fully compliant with H1 Energy Efficiency provisions, the system has been delivered across a range of large-scale projects.

For projects where daylight, ventilation and performance need to work together, the PR60 offers an effective approach to operable overhead glazing.

EBSA supports projects across Australia, New Zealand and Canada, providing integrated window, façade and ventilation solutions from concept through to completion.

Congratulations to the team behind ECU City on receiving the 2026 Australian Construction Achievement Award - the highest honour in Australian construction.

Delivered by Multiplex, ECU City has transformed one of Perth’s most constrained sites into a major new education and cultural precinct, constructed above operational rail tunnels and the Perth Busport.

The 73,000m² campus brings together teaching, research, performance and digital media facilities, and will accommodate around 10,000 students and staff.

EBSA is proud to have contributed to this landmark project through a tailored louvre control system supporting natural ventilation and smoke relief. Our scope included BT90 and MP2 double glazed louvres, digital actuators and CPS-M control panels, integrated into the building’s wider systems.

Recognition at this level reflects the complexity, innovation and collaboration behind ECU City and the scale of the achievement in delivering it.

Congratulations to Multiplex and everyone involved with this incredible project.

Sydney House - Bringing natural ventilation to a landmark redevelopment

The transformation of Sydney’s historic City Tattersalls Club site on Pitt Street is reshaping one of the CBD’s most recognisable heritage addresses.

Sydney House will combine a restored six-storey heritage podium with a new 50-storey tower, incorporating 241 residences and a hotel, alongside renewed club, retail and hospitality spaces.
EBSA is proud to be contributing to the project through the supply, installation and commissioning of the natural ventilation automation system.

Our D+H Mechatronic CDC-0252 series actuators and CPS-M control panels will automate selected windows to support natural airflow throughout the tower, contributing to occupant comfort and the building’s broader environmental performance.

It is a fantastic example of how new building systems can be integrated into a complex project that brings together contemporary construction and heritage conservation.

EBSA - Australia

Chifley South is taking shape in the Sydney CBD, with the developing façade beginning to reveal the architectural intent behind this major $1.8 billion project.

EBSA is contributing to the project with the supply and installation of D+H Mechatronic smoke control systems for motorised awning windows. Our scope includes CDC 0252-350-ACB actuators and CPS-M smoke control panels, incorporating automatic closure on loss of power, 72-hour battery backup, fault indication and interfaces with the building management, fire and mechanical systems.

Chifley South is designed as a contemporary extension of the existing Chifley precinct, bringing together a highly resolved façade, mixed-mode ventilation and ambitious sustainability targets. On completion, the 37-storey tower will add more than 50,000 sqm of next-generation workplace and amenity space to Sydney’s CBD.

An impressive project to watch as construction progresses.

Atlassian Central

A significant milestone for Atlassian Central, with Sydney’s 39-storey tower reaching its full structural height of more than 180 metres and officially becoming the world’s tallest hybrid timber tower.

Designed by SHoP Architects in collaboration with BVN, the project brings together mass timber, steel and concrete in a hybrid structural system, alongside natural ventilation, landscaped terraces and advanced building technology.

EBSA has been involved since the early contractor engagement phase, delivering the façade automation package supporting the building’s natural ventilation and smoke relief strategies. Our scope includes:

• 4,757 CDC window actuators
• 18 CPS-M control panels
• 56 distribution boxes
• Approximately 42 kilometres of cabling

The scale of the automation package reflects the complexity of integrating operable façades into a high-rise commercial building of this nature, with natural ventilation forming an important part of the project’s broader environmental strategy.

Atlassian Central is targeting a 50% reduction in upfront embodied carbon compared with a conventional premium commercial tower, alongside a 50% improvement in operational energy efficiency.

A landmark project that continues to demonstrate how structural innovation, building technology and environmental performance can come together at scale.

Congratulations to Lendlease and the wider project team on the Glasshouse Theatre at Queensland Performing Arts Centre (QPAC) being recognised as Project of the Year at the 2026 Master Builders Queensland Housing & Construction Awards, as well as receiving the Tourism & Leisure Facilities over $10 million award.

The recognition reflects the technical complexity and collaboration required to deliver this landmark addition to Brisbane's cultural precinct. Designed by Blight Rayner Architecture in partnership with Snøhetta, the Glasshouse Theatre features a distinctive rippled glass façade that has become a defining element of the building.

EBSA was proud to contribute to this award-winning project through the design and manufacture of three bespoke MP2 V50 frameless glass louvre systems, each measuring 7,440mm high. Delivered in collaboration with Seele, the louvres were integrated into the complex curved and flat glazed façade, supporting the architectural vision while meeting demanding performance requirements.

Congratulations to everyone involved in delivering this outstanding project and on this well-deserved recognition.

At EBSA, we remain committed to delivering innovative and unparalleled solutions that elevate the possibilities of architectural design.
