FAR OUT! The Central Pacific Ocean warming is not slowing down at all... EL Nino is now classed as very strong with the 3.4 region at +2.02C. It is heading for the 2015 record of +2.7C and if the forecast +3.5C happens it will blow it out of the water - no pun intended.
This is going to have huge impacts on Australia’s weather patterns over the next 3 - 6 months at least.
An ocean buoy in the Eastern Pacific is 6.5C warmer than normal, the sub surface is up to 9C above average which is just ridiculous!
The atmosphere over Australia is already responding with the SOI holding -29 placing huge slow moving blocking highs overhead.
The Coral Sea and waters around Northern Australia are cooling - the air will continue to sink over us thanks to a severely disrupted Walker Circulation.
There is way more to talk about yet so stay tuned! ~ Jeff ~
