🚧 Easy little stitch core for the day. 🚧

🦺 1380mm diameter, 300mm thick on an exact 11 degree angle, with a 300mm thick reinforcing wall poured in front of it, formed on the matching angle.
🦺Drilling started at 9am, core was lifted out at 2.15pm, and that was with rain delays.
🦺It was tapping into a major live stormwater system so time was critical on a day with 50+mm of rain.

Fast Cut QLD is Seeking an Experienced Concrete Sawing & Drilling Operator

We are a leading concrete sawing and drilling company serving South East Queensland’s civil and infrastructure sectors. Due to continued growth, we are needing a couple of experienced operators to join the team.

Position: Concrete Sawing & Drilling Operator
Location: South East Queensland (reside within 50kms of the CBD)
Employment Type: Full-Time

Key Requirements:

Minimum 1 year experience in general concrete sawing and drilling

Construction White Card and current driver’s licence

Commitment to workplace health and safety

Ability to work independently and as part of a team - 90% of the time is spent working independently, but when it's all hands on deck, teamwork is the key

Willing to do overtime - we do responsive callout work for various clients throughout Brisbane

🚧 Another year of proudly supporting the association that supports us, the CSDAA - Concrete Sawing & Drilling Association Australia

You might notice the signatory on the membership certificate. Brock Smith (our General Manager) was nominated and elected President of the CSDAA - Concrete Sawing & Drilling Association Australia for 2025 after spending the last few years as both a General Executive and as Vice President.

Trainee position available.

We are seeking someone keen to start or expand on their career in Concrete Sawing & Drilling.

-Fast Cut QLD covers all aspects of the industry. From core drilling, roadsawing, wallsawing, wire saw, robots, bursting, traffic loops, you name it, we have it and can do it.
-Extensive industry experience. The trainees aren't training the trainees.
-This is a Trainee position. We don't expect you to know how to cut concrete to apply, but if you don't know what concrete sawing and drilling involves, it might not be the right line of work.
-We have no pre-requisites except for a drivers licence, can legally work in Australia, reside in Brisbane/surrounds and have a good attitude (the basics).
-Be aware that it is a job that can be physically demanding, can be in high security areas and there are times that you will be under the pump. There's always someone waiting on us to finish to they can start their works.

No fancy ads this time, we're going back to basics.

Operator required-
Someone that can turn up when they are meant to.
Someone that can roadsaw, handsaw and core drill, or someone that has a bit of experience in the industry and wants make a career out of concrete sawing and drilling.
No drug or alcohol problems.
Can be fit tested and remain fit tested.

We've gone back to basics with this one. Honestly, we just want an operator, that can turn up to work, do their job properly, and go home. No dramas, no issues. We're easy to work with, we pay properly, on time everytime and have everything and every piece of equipment under the sun to make your life easier. We work on good job sites, mainly civil and infrastructure, with a lot of interesting bits thrown in.

-Take home work vehicle.
-Civil/Infrastructure concrete sawing and drilling company based out of Virginia.
-We have all the gear, nice clean trucks, good systems and support.
-Must be able to pass random drug/alcohol testing.
-Clean shaven to meet fit testing requirements.
-A good attitude is a must.
-Secure job. We don't hire and fire. We have never laid someone off due to a lack of work or a project ending.
