This one came up beautifully.

A complete pour-to-honed pool surround and patio area finished in “Capri” with Snow Oxide added into the mix from the Geostone collection.

Capri has a really natural, organic feel once honed, plenty of character in the stone without taking away from the rest of the outdoor space.

For this project, we managed the concrete construction and placement through to honing and the final finish.

A bad honing contractor can ruin a $80,000+ pool surround and outdoor area.

And that’s exactly what almost happened here with client Sharon.

Sharon's North Lakes pool and outdoor project had already been poured by Modern Concrete Co™ and the slab itself had a good foundation.

But the contractor handling the honing?
Different story.

Uneven exposure.
Patchy finish.
Grinding damage through the surface.
Incomplete work.

After taking payment, the contractor walked away from the project leaving Sharon frustrated and stuck with a finish that looked nothing like what she was expecting.

That’s when Sharon gave us a call to rectify and properly finish the pool surround and outdoor areas.

We stripped the surface back properly, repaired the damaged sections and re-honed the concrete to create a clean, consistent, high-end result throughout the entire area.

Because when it comes to honed concrete and polished concrete…
The finishing stage is EVERYTHING.
