Did you know Hydrated Lime is a key ingredient in the construction of roads? It helps to stabilise the road base allowing it to support heavier loads.

It can be mixed with soil to improve its compaction, it also reduces the plasticity and shrink-swell potential of clay (making it less squidgy), resulting in a more stable and durable road surface overall. In addition to its strength-enhancing properties, hydrated lime also reduces the amount of water required for compaction, which streamlines the construction process, saving both time and money.

Hydrated Lime can also be used in numerous other applications such as:

🚛A filler in asphalt to improve resistance to high-temperature rutting.

🚛By the water treatment industry for softening, pH adjustment/ coagulation, and removal of impurities.

🚛To remove acidic gases that are harmful to the environment particularly Sulphur Dioxide and Hydrogen Chloride from flue gas.
