Not every ceiling fan is suitable for every space.

Even our own sparky Alex loses power four times a year.

Not all ceiling fans can live outside.

If it's going under a patio or alfresco, it needs to handle sun, heat and humidity, which is why outdoor fans are generally made from UV-rated ABS plastic. No warping, no fading, no cracked blades after two summers.

The one we're installing here also runs a DC motor (quieter and cheaper to run than an old AC fan) and comes remote controlled. No wall switch, no getting up to change speed.
