We’re proud to share the completion of the Administration Building Extension and Refurbishment at St Stephen’s School, Algester.
Breathing new life into a much-loved 23-year-old building originally designed by Fairweather Proberts was a rewarding and enjoyable undertaking for our team. Over time, the spatial requirements of the building have evolved in response to increased enrolments and the changing needs of students.
The project includes a new boardroom, an enhanced staffroom, and a new Principal’s office adjacent to the leadership team. These additions improve the functionality of the administration precinct while strengthening connections between staff, students, and families.
At the heart of the project is the new Student Wellbeing Corridor and allied support spaces. Designed to foster inclusivity and provide tailored support, these welcoming environments bring together wellbeing, learning support, pastoral care and specialist student services in one central hub.
A striking yet calming palette of royal blue, natural timber and cork creates a sense of warmth and tranquillity throughout the building. This sense of calm benefits staff and students alike, reinforcing the school’s commitment to creating welcoming, supportive environments where students feel safe, valued, and empowered to thrive throughout their school journey.
We are grateful to have been involved in a project that reflects St Stephen’s commitment to wellbeing, learning, and community. Collaborating with such a passionate and trusting client has been a truly rewarding experience, and we thank the St Stephen’s Principal, John Bates and team for the opportunity to help bring their vision to life.
