The position will require the successful applicant to attend service and maintenance callouts at commercial sites such as fuel stations, factories, medical centres, offices, and stores. These callouts will require comprehensive knowledge and experience in fault finding and electrical solutions. The position will also require the applicant to attend larger scale electrical and data installations on various sites, including mobile communications sites.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate experience working both unsupervised and as part of a team within small to medium size commercial & industrial projects. You will be fastidious in your presentation and have strong written and verbal communication skills. You will have a thorough knowledge and understanding of the electrical industry standards, safety standards and procedures.

There will also be a requirement for the applicant to work out of the Southeast corner on occasion. This will be shared among the team.

Due to the amount of work completed around the general population we would prefer that the applicant has one or both COVID vaccinations or has the intention to get them imminently.

KEY SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

The Successful Applicant will have demonstrated experience in the following areas:

Commercial service and maintenance.
Industrial service and maintenance.
Switchboard installations & upgrades.
Communications cabling installations.
Sub-mains installations.
Cable tray & ladder installations
Power and data rough-in and fit-offs.
Commercial fit-outs.
Energex metering experience and extensive knowledge of the QECMM
Air-conditioning installations and maintenance.
Mobile wireless communications installations.
The Successful Applicant will have the following current qualifications:

Qld Electrical Fitter Mechanic Work Licence.
OHS Construction Industry Induction Card.
Open Driver Licence.
Open Cabler Licence.
Licence to Perform High-Risk Work - WP
Work Safely at Heights Statement of Attainment.
Refrigerant Handling Licence.
CPR and LVR Certificate.
WPCG Training and Certification
It is desirable, but not essential, for the successful applicant to have the following qualifications:

Current First Aid Certificate.
Elevated Work Platform Permit.
Basic Do***ng
Basic Rigging
Category 1 Thermographer
