Well, it's been a while since we've posted here. We have been very busy moving, unpacking, sorting and celebrating mini-Brads 1st birthday! I thought it was time to share some photos of the finished house. I will slowly add photos over the coming weeks to give the full picture. Brad has done an amazing job and it is a real testament to his workmanship and skill. The first images are of the hub of our home... The kitchen.

The floors!

The electricians have done a fantastic job. It's so nice to have lights now! Our air conditioners were also installed last week. While we have planned the house to capture the breezes and ensure plenty if air flow, we still live in North Queensland so air con is a must! We have opted for ducted air conditioning and Ben has done a brilliant job with the installation!
Next to be completed are the floors and our beautiful hand rails.

Quick trip out to the house today to drop some things off for the electricians. The floors and deck are being sanded. Looks amazing! It's feeling more and more like a home now.

One of the best things about building your own home is the ability to add your own personal touches. I (Jean, not Brad!) have always wanted a built-in bookshelf. We factored it in when working with the architects on the design of the house and I couldn't be happier. A spot to display not just our books, but bits and pieces we've collected throughout the years. Cupboards underneath to house games etc.
