Capture everything. Keep your site moving.

One of the biggest advantages of our wearable mobile VLX scanner is its ability to capture highly accurate 3D data with minimal disruption to day to day operations.

That means we can scan complex environments while they’re still in use, reducing downtime and avoiding unnecessary interruptions to staff, customers, contractors, and site activities.

Our Reality Capture Technician, Russell Bergsma has completed reality capture on a range of live environments, including:
• Aged care facilities
• Active construction sites
• Multi storey shopping centres during trading hours
• Major supermarkets during trading hours
• Automotive workshops
• Commercial and retail tenancies
• Manufacturing facilities

No tripods or lengthy set ups, just efficient, high accuracy data capture that keeps your project moving.

Whether you’re planning a refurbishment, extension, fit out, or need accurate existing conditions for design, reality capture provides a fast and reliable starting point for your project.

Regional infrastructure presents unique logistical challenges, but the standard of information available to project teams shouldn't depend on location.

Wearable mobile mapping enables rapid capture of accurate, survey-referenced 3D data in environments where traditional methods can be more time-consuming or where GNSS is unavailable. By providing a measurable digital record of an asset, project teams can undertake condition assessments, scope maintenance works and collaborate remotely before mobilising to site.

For asset owners and managers, this means better-informed decisions, reduced project risk and greater confidence when planning maintenance and renewal programmes across geographically dispersed assets.

Our Town Planning team works alongside developers, government agencies and private landowners to prepare subdivision and development applications, coordinate supporting technical reports, and manage the approval process from submission through to determination.

As part of our multidisciplinary team, we collaborate closely with our Surveyors and Project Managers to provide practical, integrated advice throughout the project lifecycle.

Harley Dykstra was engaged by the Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions (DBCA) to provide surveying services for the Cable Beach project, which involved upgrades to existing carpark pathways and the construction of new pedestrian access to the lookout area.

The works included an insitu concrete footpath and an elevated concrete walkway supported by concrete plinths. The walkway extends through coastal scrub before finishing on a granite outcrop overlooking Cable Beach.

Our role included setting out the designated clearing areas, footpaths and concrete footings for the new walkway. Local Indigenous Elders were also involved in monitoring the clearing areas, assessing cultural significance and approving the works as the project progressed.

Albany Formwork constructed and poured the insitu footpaths and concrete plinths, with the walkway panels precast off site and craned into position. A precast concrete bench seat was also craned into place at the lookout.

Subdivision approval is only one milestone in the delivery of a land development. Maintaining programme certainty relies on the effective coordination of approval conditions, authority clearances and consultant deliverables throughout the project lifecycle.

In our latest blog, we explore the role Development Condition Management plays in keeping complex developments moving, reducing delays and supporting the successful delivery of staged subdivisions.

Adaptive reuse projects begin with a clear understanding of the existing built environment.

Whether transforming a former commercial tenancy into office space, an education facility or another fit-for-purpose asset, accurate site information is essential for informed design decisions and effective project planning.

Our wearable mobile mapping technology captures detailed, measurable 3D data quickly and efficiently, providing architects, engineers, builders and asset owners with a reliable digital representation of the space before design and construction commence.

By establishing an accurate baseline from the outset, project teams can reduce uncertainty, improve coordination and minimise costly surprises during refurbishment and adaptive reuse projects.

A great example of how the right survey data supports better project outcomes from day one.
