A routine service of this Maison Mt Blanc 970 today in Gunning uncovered some interesting issues from the original installation.
One standout item being the primary vermiculite baffle that is meant to be positioned at the top of the firebox; which has actually spent the last 5 seasons at the bottom, under a pile of ash.
It's like hearing a broken record - Routine maintenance by a qualified, reputable, experienced service technician/sweep means the appliance is receiving the proper attention it needs.
Ask your installer for their licence details. They should be carrying a card whether it's ACT or NSW; as it's your right and the law for them to present it.
And finally, every legitimate install/changeover/relocation requires approval from local government/council - no if's, but's, or maybe's.
