A few details worth knowing: the rooftop pool is sprayed onsite and built separate to the structure, with acoustic matting between the two. That means no noise or water vibration travelling through the home, and if the pool ever leaks, the house stays protected.

Where rainforest dissolves into ocean, two villas perch above Wategos as if they’ve always belonged there.

Rising three storeys over Byron Bay, wrapped in concrete, timber, and stone. Materials selected not for trend, but for longevity. Bespoke Spotted Gum frames every window and door. Hand-crafted crazy paving threads through the grounds. A sheltered pool terrace dissolves the boundary between inside and out.

Behind every striking facade is a hundred days that look like this. Mermaid Beach 462 is a build designed to hold its own on the streetscape; hard-lined and contemporary, but softened by natural materiality and a deep respect for the residential scale of the neighbourhood.
