Loveday Electrical was established on the 21st of April 1985 in the small western Queensland town of St George. Our original location was at Thallon Road in the industrial area of St George. Loveday Electrical serviced the agricultural industries surrounding within a 200km radius.
The main work that was completed in Western Queensland by Loveday Electrical was: large water harvesting pumps for irrigation farmers, electronic control of agricultural watering and fertilising systems, maintenance and installation work in local saw mills and meat processing plants. Other commercial and industrial construction projects included the St George National Bank Building and a 2000 head a day mutton abattoir for ASMP.
Loveday Electrical becomes a licensed NSW Electrical contractor, servicing the regional northern NSW towns of Boomi, Mungindi, Lightning Ridge, Goodooga and the surrounding areas.
1988
From One Man Band to Family Run Operation
Loveday Electrical takes its first step in becoming the local family business it is today, with the full time arrival of Heather Loveday, Bob’s wife, as the Primary Office Administrator.
1989
A New Home In Caboolture
Loveday Electrical Pty Ltd relocated to Caboolture in 1989 to take advantage of the increasing population on the north side of Brisbane and Sunshine Coast. During that time we have specialised in residential construction and maintenance. This led the company to increase the number of employees to more than twenty.
1990's
With A New Home Comes New Challenges
From it’s new base in Caboolture, Loveday Electrical worked tirelessly to build up a trusted local name, for high quality and diligent service. This name, slowly but surley stretched out all the way from Noosa to the Northside of Brisbane.
2003
Moving to 2/88 Lear Jet Drive
To account for all the new work and members of the family we now had, we purchased our current location, at 2/88 Lear Jet Drive Caboolture, in early 2003.
2005
A Second Generation at Loveday's
Loveday Electrical is now a bona fide Family Business, with the arrival of Sarah Loveday as an apprentice, and not long after, her younger brother, Frank. Within just a few short years, There would be a total of six Loveday family members, five of which completing or having completed an electrical apprenticeship, working at Loveday’s.
2006
Here Comes the Refrigeration Division
The Refrigeration Division of Loveday Electrical Pty Ltd was established in 2006. Since then Loveday Electrical Pty Ltd has been able to provide our residential construction and maintenance customers a more complete service, by offerring both electrical and air-conditioning installation and repairs.
May 2015
30 Years In Business
In May 2015 Loveday Electrical Pty Ltd celebrated 30 years in business. Bob and Heather Loveday can proudly say that they have built a prosperous family enterprise. Currently working in the business, in addition to themselves, is daughter Sarah Loveday, son Frank Loveday and nephew Jack Loveday. All having completed or currently completing their trade as an electrical fitter mechanic
