New Home build.

This block of land has the natural bush at the rear of the property. The clients therefore wanted a low maintenance area to retain the natural views from their rear patio. They wanted stone, stepping pavers and also an area for their fire pit including a paved area for future bench chairs.
We also installed the garden bed borders front and rear including soil & mulch as they wanted to plant themselves.

Pine Treated Timber Sleepers (H4) are an affordable garden bed border 1-4 high depending on the slope of the property.
We always install Geo Fabric, Ag pipe, drainage stone and drainage outlet to all retaining walls 400mm in height and above.

We all love Bougainvillea's for their stunning array of colours. However being a thorny vine and also a climber they can easily spread and become difficult to maintain due to their thorns.
In my opinion they are best kept in large pots as they are easy to manage and still look stunning in flower.
I've had this one in a 400mm plastic pot sitting inside a large terracotta pot for over 25 years. Every few years the main tap root will find it's way into the ground in which I just cut off. I also regularly fertilize.

A home pond that was the vision and design by a dear friend.
This was a challenge for us as the pond is 17 l/ m x 2-3 w x 30-40mm d.
With the volume of water involved we needed to consider filtration pumps to keep the water clean and also keeping it looking like a natural creek bed. A huge thank you to Aquarium and Pond Maintenance (in Edmonton) for their advice, guidance installation of the pumps and also helping to build the 2 waterfalls.
I wanted to wait awhile before posting to allow my friend time to put her own personal touches to her pond, such as the plants including water lillies, fish and also the stepping pavers.
