As we welcome in 2026, we are proud to be working alongside our valued client, Cairns Airport, to deliver the Cairns Airport Business Park Stage 4B.

This stage will facilitate a major milestone for the region—the development of the first short-term accommodation to be built at Cairns Airport.

With the earthworks finalised late last year, our team are now busy completing the services installation.

We look forward to sharing more exciting updates with you throughout the new year.

Turning dust into driveways! Our fgf Bitumen crew have successful completed another road seal making sure our happy customer will always arrive home in style. They even received the seal of approval from some of the locals!

Works are charging ahead on the Behana Raw Water Pipeline project in Gordonvale as part of Cairns Water Security Stage 1 project being delivered by John Holland on behalf of Cairns Regional Council.

We’re excited to share a few snapshots from the installation of the first valve isolation assembly. Completed with a focus on safety and precision, this milestone marks the first of six assemblies to be installed on the pipeline.

Big thanks to our crew on the ground for setting the pace and laying solid foundations for what’s shaping up to be a successful project. More to come as we continue delivering this critical infrastructure for the region!

fgf is proud to showcase our work on Paradise Point Stage 5, a new 31 lot subdivision constructed over 2.2 hectares located in Palm Cove. Nestled between natural creeks, the newly built Wangetti Trail and native vegetation, this hill slope project required meticulous planning.

Significant earthwork volumes including 40% imported material, aerial sewers and large retaining wall structures, coupled with the presence of rock made construction challenging at times, however, our experienced team delivered a quality result for our client and future residents.

The Malanda High Level Reservoir project is approaching completion, with the fourth and final concrete wall lift completed and preparation for the roof structure underway.

Our team are committed to enhancing and repairing local infrastructure and are proud to work alongside the Tablelands Regional Council to deliver this vital project to the community.

Our team are back into it, ready for an exciting 2025! After a well-deserved break, the crews have hit the ground running, continuing work on the picturesque Pyramid Creek Estate Stages 1, 2 & 3.

The team reached a critical milestone in December, completing installation of the second Gross Pollutant Trap at the site - ahead of the wet season. Work on services installation, intersection upgrades and roadworks are continuing, with plans to deliver the first stages of this key development within the Cairns growth corridor in early 2025.

Big things are happening in Malanda!

Our team has been busy making progress on the Malanda Integrated Water Supply Works. This Tablelands Regional Council project will deliver a more reliable water supply that can meet the needs of the growing Tablelands community. As part of the construction, we’ve been working on a new 3.9ML reservoir and laying nearly 4km of pipeline that will interconnect with the current infrastructure.

We’re proud to be helping secure the future of this beautiful part of FNQ!

Congratulations to the South Cairns Cutters Netball team on making it to the Division 2 Grand Final! We’re very proud to have supported this fantastic team once again this year.
