Congratulations Dorset Council for the ongoing support of outdoor recreational products.
Blue Derby is Australia’s favourite Ride Destination.
At World Trail our focus has always been on a sustainable Mountain Bike product, delivering economic growth within communities, a forest-like destination for ride tourism and healthy outcomes for all involved.
We have always stayed focused on quality, safety and sustainability.
The 6 core Destination Protocols are simple, and should never be dismissed or diluted.
1: The trail network should be close to a major airport, close to services and the community.
2: The trail network should wrap around the township and embrace the natural features of the area. These natural features showcase the beauty of the region, for all to experience.
3: The Trail Network must have over 85 kilometres of professionally built trails. These trails need to focus on all riding styles, while delivering safe, fun varieties and progressive designs.
4. A wide range of Accommodation, Cafes & Bike shops all extremely close to the trailhead.
5. A physical and progressive mindset for expansion of trails, business opportunities, while reigniting and embracing abandoned assets within the region.
6. A competitive overlay within the township, community and trails. Room and flexibilty for significant international events, spectators, media and growth.
State Government urged to fund a Derby Masterplan and support maintenance of Tasmania’s mountain bike network following $50.9 million in direct annual visitor expenditure.
