What a lovely day for site preparation in Mount Sheridan with the little Kanga Loader, this little beast is only 800mm in width so perfect for them tight access new builds around Mount Sheridan and Bentley Park nowadays, this area is going to be a new Landscaped Garden with new Turf, Composite edging and garden installations.

Here's some before and afters of the Composite Super Sleeper Retaining Wall with erosion control matting and vegetation to the bank, these things are a godsend, they are stronger than concrete sleepers and a lot easier to build due to them being light enough to move with one hand instead of mucking about with 80kg lumps of concrete.

From labour intensive and ugly grassy bank to a spectacular ATD style Xeriscape Curb appeal Garden and a Natural Stone Porphyry crazy paved Stepper pathway, I feel this method is far better than the initial plan of a retaining wall, and a lot cheaper, a low maintenance and high impact Xeriscape Garden is a great option for unusable spaces.

New Pool Paving in Bentley Park, before it was all stone with a course of steppers leading from gate to gate, the clients liked the stepper theme and wanted to add to it with a decent sized paved area for entertaining, this was achieved using a combination of Eurostone Zurich and Eurostone Prague Paving from Adbri Masonry, really fits in well with the stark ominous grey colour theme of today's new builds.

New Fence and Retaining Wall in Stoney Creek, the previous fence was failing due to a common issue, it had been installed right on the brow of a steep bank, it was destined to fail due to the inevitable erosion, by bringing the fence back slightly onto stable ground and retaining the land, the clients now not only have a structurally sound fence, but better drainage and usable land.

Out with the boggy grass and in with a manageable, natural stone Porphyry crazy paved Stepper access path with minimalist Xeriscape Plantings and feature rocks for added flair, it was a nice turf species being a Zoysia but it just wasn't right for the area, the clients initially wanted to full pave the area, until this alternate plan was put forward, a fraction of the price of full paved yet holds great aesthetical appeal and still allowing for comfortable ease of access and low maintenance.

Here's a small, low-cost softscape job from last week, what was once a derelict eyesore is now a curb appeal feature Xeriscape Garden, utilising a mixture of rocks and stones and drought tolerant, architectural feature plants to achieve a low maintenance aesthetic enhancement to the property.
Give it a couple of months, and it will look spectacular once the plants mature.
