A proud moment for Mission Beach and our region!

We’re delighted to see the Mission Beach C*D Revitalisation recognised as the winner of the Projects Over $10 Million category at the 2026 IPWEA-QNT Excellence Awards.

At Landplan, we’re proud to have contributed to this significant project, helping shape a revitalised town centre that celebrates the unique character of Mission Beach while creating a more welcoming, accessible and vibrant place for locals and visitors to enjoy.

Our sincere thanks to Cassowary Coast Regional Council for their support, collaboration and commitment to delivering this important project for the community.

From the revitalised Village Green and Porter Promenade to the new streetscapes, landscaping and public spaces, this project demonstrates what can be achieved when a shared vision is supported by collaboration, expertise and a genuine commitment to community.

It’s wonderful to see a regional project recognised alongside major infrastructure projects from across Queensland. This award is a testament to the many people and organisations who worked together to bring the vision to life.

Congratulations to Cassowary Coast Regional Council and everyone involved. We’re proud to have been part of a project that will leave a lasting legacy for Mission Beach. 🌿

We’re proud to share that we have won the Projects over $10 million category at the 2026 Institute of Public Works Engineering Australasia, Queensland & Northern Territory (IPWEA-QNT) Excellence Awards for the Mission Beach C*D Revitalisation.

This peer-judged statewide award recognises the quality of our work in delivering a $20 million project alongside major entries from some of Queensland’s biggest councils.

The project has transformed the heart of Mission Beach, delivering upgraded public spaces, improved infrastructure and renewed confidence in the township’s future.

Thank you to our staff, contractors, consultants, local businesses, and the Mission Beach community for supporting the project along the way. This is a result we can all be proud of.

Great to see Mission Beach Town Centre Revitalisation featured by StreetChat. Landplan Landscape Architecture was proud to lead the landscape architectural design for this project with Cassowary Coast Regional Council, helping shape a public realm that feels distinctly Mission Beach.

The design draws on the meeting of rainforest and coast, with the cassowary-inspired colour palette and public realm elements helping tell a local story through the space.
