Meet the Team | Jake – Supervisor, Gold Coast

Nearly four years with Goop Guys means Jake knows what it takes to keep a job running to standard.

Based on the Gold Coast, he oversees everything from high-end homes to new developments, while helping newer team members learn the ropes and making sure every job gets the Goop Guys level of protection.

Jake and the Gold Coast team work across projects for builders including Brighton Homes , Karston Building Group , NextGen DC , @1821233194778868, Alder Group , and Clarendon Homes NSW , among others.

Working across builders like these, Jake takes pride in preventing the small stuff that becomes big problems. This means fewer preventable defects, less rework before handover, and finished surfaces that stay protected while the rest of the build keeps moving.

Growing up on a farm, Jake’s no stranger to hard work and early starts. Off the clock, you’ll usually find him firing up the Weber for a steak and enjoying a glass of Hennessy.

Great to have you leading the way, Jake!

What's the first thing that touches your new floor after it goes down? A tiler's boot. A paint tin. A dropped tool.

That's the moment most floors get damaged, not months later, but within hours of being laid, while every other trade is still moving through.

Floor Goop goes down before they do, so the damage never gets the chance.

✔ Protects tile and concrete from every trade after you
✔ Handles paint, grout, screws, and daily foot traffic
✔ Peels off clean in one go when the job's done

Protect it before the next trade walks in, not after.

Bathtubs take more damage before handover than most builders realise.

Tools get set down on the rim. Tiling adhesive splashes in. Someone's boot catches the edge on the way past.

Bath Goop coats the tub in a tough, peelable barrier that shrugs off scratches, splashes, and everyday site knocks throughout the build.

✔ Protects steel and acrylic tubs
✔ Stays in place through every trade that comes after
✔ Peels off clean, no scrubbing, no scratches, no drama

The tub should look brand new at handover. Not "brand new, with a story."

Call 1300 MR GOOP (1300 674 667) or visit https://goopguys.com/ and get Bath Goop on your next job!

Ever seen what happens when the wrong surface protection gets used on windows?

❌ Plastic film traps moisture, then it fogs and marks the glass underneath
❌ Tape looks fine going on, then leaves a sticky residue that needs its own clean-up
❌ Loose sheeting lifts in the wind and lets dust, render and paint straight through
❌ Cardboard soaks up moisture and turns to mush before the job's even done

Every one of those "fixes" ends the same way: scratched glass, a scraper, and a call-back nobody wanted.
Window Goop was built to avoid all of it: one coating, full protection, peels off clean.

Call 1300 MR GOOP (1300 674 667) or visit https://goopguys.com/ and give your windows the protection they actually need.

"Covered" and "protected" are not the same thing.

👉 Covered: a drop sheet that shifts the second someone walks past
👉 Protected: bonded on, holding strong through every trade

👉 Covered: gaps at the edges where paint and dust get in
👉 Protected: full coverage, no room for mistakes

👉 Covered: replaced halfway through the build
👉 Protected: on once, holds for up to 12 months

If your site's only "covered," you're gambling on handover day.

Call 1300 MR GOOP (1300 674 667) or visit https://goopguys.com/ and get it properly protected.

At Goop Guys, we believe the cheapest mistake is the one that never happens.

Too often, builders are forced to spend time and money fixing damage that could have been prevented from the start.

That’s why everything we do is built around prevention and not repairs.

Protecting windows, floors, benchtops, and baths isn’t just about keeping surfaces clean. It’s about keeping projects moving, protecting your margins, and handing over a build you’re proud to put your name on.

That’s the Goop difference!

5 signs your site was protected too late!

Surface protection only works if it’s on before the damage happens. Here are five red flags we’ve seen on sites:

❌ Windows are already covered in render splatter
❌ Trades are walking on finished floors without protection
❌ Benchtops are installed while other trades are still working nearby
❌ You’re booking cleaners before you’ve prevented the mess
❌ You’re budgeting for repairs instead of preventing them

The best builders don’t wait for damage. They plan for it!

Protect your surfaces early, avoid expensive rework, and make handover one less thing to worry about.
