This newly constructed storeroom is located on the mezzanine level of an industrial shed. It has been framed using treated pine, externally clad in corrugated zinc sheeting, and internally lined with 6 mm Hardiflex. A custom-made barn door and new access stairs complete the space, making it fully functional and ready for use. 👍

"We have used John and his team for all our carpentry needs over the past couple of years. Their workmanship is faultless, and they're the only carpenters on the coast we'll use. I highly recommend them" 👌

💡 Homeowners often ask: “What’s the biggest mistake to avoid when planning carpentry work?”
Our answer: Rushing the prep.

Whether it’s choosing the right timber, checking moisture levels, or coordinating with other trades, preparation is what makes a project last decades—not just years.

At John Cavanagh Carpentry, we don’t cut corners. We set the foundation for work that’s built to last.

The corner of this facia was extremely rotten due to a previously leaking gutter. The rest of the facia was good so the owner opted to have us cut out the damaged section only.
We were able cut the back of the facia (using a multi tool) by removing a small section of soffit. (This eliminates the need to remove the gutters).
The new section of facia is treated H3, pre-primed and ready for a coat of paint. 👍
