We’re very excited to share that Nyblad Construction has been named a finalist in the Small Business of the Year category at tomorrow night’s AWIC - Awesome Women in Construction Awards, with Sanna also recognised as a finalist in the Female Leader category.

To be considered once again amongst such an impressive group of people in our industry is something we’re incredibly grateful for.

Tomorrow night is less about the trophies and more about celebrating the women, and the many men alongside them, who are helping shape, strengthen and move the construction industry forward. We’re looking forward to catching up with familiar faces, meeting some new ones, and celebrating the achievements of all this year’s finalists.

Whatever the result, we’re very proud to be part of it. See you tomorrow night, AWIC!

It’s been a little quiet her on the news feed… but definitely not behind the scenes.

Somehow, more than two months have passed since our last post, and a lot has happened in that time.

We’ve squeezed in a little team bonding (and perhaps a healthy amount of rivalry) on the golf course, while also keeping very busy renovating bathrooms, kitchens, balconies and entire units across the Sunshine Coast.

We were proud to support Talara’s Winter Carnival with a Builders Hamper for some budding little builders, complete with tools, goodies and a copy of Emmy the Estimator, written by AWIC - Awesome Women in Construction CEO Amanda Bulow.

Amanda also joined us recently at the Master Builders Sunshine Coast Housing & Construction Awards, where Sanna was named a finalist in the Women in Building category and one of our unit renovation projects was recognised as a finalist in the Apartment category.

We may not have taken home a win on the night, but being recognised alongside some of the best in our industry was something we were incredibly proud of, and we had a fantastic evening catching up with familiar faces and celebrating the amazing work happening across the Sunshine Coast construction industry.

There have been a few changes within our own walls too. We’ve said goodbye to some valued team members, welcomed some new faces and spent plenty of time working behind the scenes on our systems and processes to make the renovation journey even better for our clients.

And through all of it, the renovations have kept rolling.

We have so many beautiful projects waiting to be shared, and over the coming weeks we’re looking forward to showing you what we’ve been creating.

This stunning extension was completed for the loveliest clients in Warana earlier this year.

Their home now includes a beautiful new master suite, complete with a generous walk-in robe, dedicated study space and the most incredible ensuite.

A calm, considered extension designed to add comfort, function and a little everyday luxury.

We loved bringing this space to life.

We’ve been a little quiet on socials lately, but there’s been plenty happening behind the scenes.

Over the coming weeks, we’ll be sharing a few recent renovation projects, including a master suite extension, outdoor living updates and some thoughtful renovation planning advice for anyone hoping to renovate before the end of the year.

We completed a full bathroom and toilet renovation for Tony and Mel in Golden Beach, delivering the project as a turnkey renovation managed from start to finish by our team of employed and subcontracted teams.
