Macleay Island called — and CMC answered. 🔌

Four brand new Mitsubishi Heavy Industries split systems installed and humming in this stunning timber-lined build. Cool air, clean lines, and not a wire out of place.

But the aircon was only half the job. We also fit off all the electrical — lighting, power, the lot. The previous sparky had left the builder high and dry, so we stepped in, took over, and got it done properly. That meant a fair bit of rectification work and full testing of the existing installation to make sure everything’s safe, compliant, and built to last.

Always wanted a water feature in your home?

Proooobably not like this 🥴

Had a call from one our real estate clients saying that they had a call from a tenant who suspected that there was water in a light fitting.

We went out, isolated the circuit, replaced the fitting and put a temporary stop gap on the roof to protect the property til the roofers could arrive to repair.

Well… that’s not good. 😬

Switchboard at a unit block in Birkdale. Someone’s run a bead of silicone over the top to keep the water out — but it’s just pooling up there and dripping straight into the board.

A smear of silicone isn’t a fix. Water sitting on or in your switchboard doesn’t end well.

The cheapest way to cut maintenance callbacks is to deal with the problem before a tenant moves in.

Spent the day in Wellington Point getting a property rental-ready — pulled out all the old lighting and fans and replaced them with new LED fittings and ceiling fans throughout.

Old fittings and tired fans are the jobs that come back to bite you: globes constantly blowing, fans getting noisy, after-hours calls from tenants.

New LEDs last years and draw a fraction of the power, and modern fans just keep running.
Less maintenance, fewer callbacks, lower running costs — and the place shows a lot better on inspection

It’s a small spend up front that pays for itself, no brainer.

Genuine question for any sparkies reading this: Would you leave a brand new fit out like this?😢

We were called in to fix it. Power and data cable adhesive-clipped to glass, an extension lead running through a ceiling instead of just installing a GPO , no containment, no mechanical protection.
Whoever did it knew it wasn't right, or maybe they didn’t- I don’t know tbh.

BUT

Last three photos are how we left it. Conduit run up the umbilical properly, contained from the outlet right through to the ceiling cavity. It's not particularly difficult or flashy work - it's just correct work.

If you’re looking for work done correctly- the first time, as it f$&! should be.
