V2R Projects was proud to sponsor teams at the 2024 .indigenous.rugby.league.carnival - an event that celebrates Indigenous culture and brings the community together through sport.

It was great to see the talent and passion on display, and we were honored to support such an important event.

Supporting initiatives like this aligns with our commitment to the communities we serve and we look forward to continuing our support in the future.

Congratulations to all the teams who took part - with further congratulations to the winning teams - Magpies United (Men's), GH United (Women's), Carlton's Theresa Hills Memorial (Men's Plate) and Blackboys (U17 Boys).

Our Project Management team at V2R Projects has recently completed Aerodrome Works Safety Officer training, led by ASSET Aviation Institute. The training took place at our Townsville office and brought together team members from both North Queensland and Southeast Queensland.

At V2R, we’re always looking for ways to improve and ensure the highest standards of safety in our work. This training is just one of the ways we continue to build on our commitment to delivering safe and efficient projects.

Safety is at the heart of everything we do, and we’re proud to be taking steps that benefit both our team and our clients.

The team are celebrating the successful completion of another CQ region project for our clients at Department of Defence.

We were engaged to undertake building works at ESSB Rockhampton, with the project's scope to complete structural, electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, ICT and security works to buildings within the Western Street Depot.

Not only were we required to complete upgrades to existing services and systems but also complete a blockwork extension to the rear of the HQ building to create a new conference room. Completing such works required the finishes to meet strict compliance conditions that are a part of delivering such projects for this particular client.

Our sincere congratulations to our project team as well as the numberous subcontractors that worked together to successfully deliver this project.

We’ve officially received our Office of the Federal Safety Commissioner (OFSC) Certificate!

Firstly, it has been a huge effort by our Safety Advisor, Brett McBain to ensure the right changes were made to our system.

Secondly, without well run sites to audit, we wouldn’t have passed, so thank you to Bruce York, Nigel Wright, Danny Kelava and Neil Harding who facilitated Audits.

On top of that, we've been granted PQC Level 3 after our discussions with the QLD Government’s Public Works Division. This means we can now tender for Queensland Government projects, including Health, TMR, Ports, and other areas classified as “High Risk or Significant (HRS) Building Projects.”

This is a fantastic development for us and opens up new avenues for future work. Thanks for all your efforts in getting us here!

V2R Projects are proud to be delivering an important refurbishment project in North Western Queensland.

🛠️🔬 Stage 1 of the Mt Isa Hospital Pathology Refurbishment works has been successfuly handed over to the client North West Hospital and Health Service with Stage 2 currently underway.

The works required were to refurbish approximately half of the existing lower ground floor area into new laboratory space to accommodate two new chemistry analysers that have recently replaced their existing fleet. In addition to this, the works aimed to upgrade the standard of fixtures, finishes and code compliance for the laboratory area.

This transformative endeavor enhances the existing healthcare infrastructure, ensuring top-notch facilities for vital medical services. 💉⚕️

Project Spotlight 🔆 206 Ross River Road, Townsville

This project has been for a very important client - V2R Projects! The entire site was purchased in 2021 with the intention to refurbish the existing commercial tenancies - one of which would be a new home base for our North Queensland team.

This was completed in mid 2022 with our team taking up residence in one of the tenancies along with the rejoining of a number of the existing tenants that were relocated during the works. However it became apparent that with the rapid growth of the team mid last year we have since reconfigured two of the tenancies into a larger space to accommodate the V2R team.

Everyone loves a good before and after so scroll on through the images to see the changes that have taken place over the last few years on the site.

The continued fitout of the commercial spaces as tenancies join has also been managed by our team in Townsville which helps us to continue developing capabilities within the team.

The V2R Projects team was kept busy on a recent project for the Department of Transport and Main Roads. Tasked with demolishing an existing RoadTek shed and concrete apron before installing a new RoadTek shed, soil lab shed, carport, and more, this extensive project in Bundaberg saw our team navigating multiple complexities.

In the midst of project work, we discovered that the current shelves in the soil lab didn’t have adequate load capacity to accommodate the intended storage requirements. Due to the limited floor space, altering the shelving configuration wasn’t an easy fix.

After considering the weight and size of items requiring storage, we found a new option that balanced load capacity, space utilisation, and operational convenience. With quick approvals in place, we were able to move towards the completion date on schedule - and the results speak for themselves!
