Potential Trainee/Apprentice Arborist – Casual to start

Advanced Tree Operations is a small owner operated tree service provider with over 20 years tree climbing experience. Based in Cardup, we specialise in large and dangerous trees in all kinds of conditions and environments. Ad hoc duties as required.

The time has come to expand our small operations and hire a trainee to become the next generation Arborist.

The right applicant will have the opportunity to learn from the Senior Arborist.

This is physically demanding work and in all kinds of weather conditions.

To begin with you will be on the ground learning the basics. As you progress and show initiative, willingness to learn, ability to take instruction and safety awareness you will be trusted with the more exciting aspects of the role.

PLEASE NOTE: MUST HAVE DRIVERS LICENCE C CLASS (prefer MR) & own car.
You MUST BE A TEAM PLAYER.

Also, the hours and days will vary especially in the beginning but we are actively working to grow our clientele to accommodate full time work towards a full-time position.

Courses and tickets will come along as part of your training if you prove to have the grit, courage and fortitude to be a long-term stayer.

You must be/have:
• Physically fit & healthy
• Keen on outdoor physical work
• A driver’s licence and own car
• Have an interest in Arborist/tree work/climbing trees
• Willing to work at heights
• Willing to learn
• Ability to take instruction
• Trustworthy & honest
• Reliable
• Safety conscious
• Great attitude and work ethic

The successful applicant will proceed to a trial period on a casual basis until all parties agree to proceed to a full commitment.

All cuts cut to growth points to encourage regrowth in a reduced size. Also, cut to this time of year to reduce regrowth = seasonal pruning.🌳
Bit of rain after the fact also aids with recovery. 😉
