Introducing our Wombarra project, based on the South Coast of NSW this project is one we are incredibly proud of. Located in a small pocket called the Coal Coast, this incredible area is one of my favourites. It’s snuggled in between an eye watering escarpment and the ocean…it truly is stunning! We started this project prior to Covid and we only finished it at the end of last year…after many delays we got there and the end result was absolutely worth the wait! Once again, we were lucky enough to work with some of the most beautiful clients you could ever meet…so beautiful that you miss them when it’s all over! This is the living and dining area over looking the ocean, it’s truly a seaside haven. I’d forgotten about this shoot day, our talented photographer Nat Spada was creating this dramatically beautiful scene with the billowing curtains and they just were not behaving…what you can’t see is me crouched down behind the sofa having to hold down the right hand curtain and having to sprint back into position when I had let go of the left curtain so it would float away. So not as effortless as it looks!! Honestly, the things we designers do, it’s so not what you would expect!

A beautiful styling moment in our Alfords Point project. I think my favourite piece is the side board by Ellison Studios. It’s not traditionally meant for these kinds of spaces, it’s more a bedroom piece but it works. She is big and bold and beautiful and fills that hallway perfectly!

It’s fair to say that the never ending wall of Zellige tiles by Di Lorenzo Tiles was the hero of the ensuite bathroom in our Alfords Point project. The one problem when you have curved walls is there is no transition point, or stopping and starting…so you just have to keep on going!!! So that’s just what we did with this gorgeous tile, our client luckily loved them just as much as we do! 🤍

This colour combo has been doing the rounds quite a bit over the last twelve months, but for good reason…it works! This is the main bathroom in our Alfords Point project, the soft sage on the joinery and dusty n**e terracotta tile work perfectly together. Loads of texture and an abundance of colour, this space feels fun and playful which was perfect for the children of the house!

Introducing our Alfords Point project! Using tiles on the island was a first for us and we just loved it, the texture hit a little differently compared to one of our usual joinery profiles. It also features my most favourite of all neutral colours on the full height joinery run…this was the first time we used it but it’s now our go to! The laundry and mudroom from our Burraneer project using all the warm neutrals to give warm and cosy feels. My favourite feature of this laundry is the elevated appliances with the slide out shelves below so you can easily load your washing in and out of the washer and dryer. So user friendly! We also included some extra big drawers in this space designed to keep the clients dog food neatly stored away. I can’t tell you how satisfying it is for us as designers to create spaces that are perfectly customized to suit our clients lives!

Created to help you bring a little of The Stables into your own home, each blueprint shares the carefully considered selections behind the spaces, from paint colours, tiles, tapware and finishes to fixtures, fittings and key furnishings! The exterior of our newest Burraneer project was beautifully designed by our friends at Innovate, the curved stone pillars are spectacular! We searched high and low for the perfect stone and GatherCo Australia had just the right one! This was a mammoth project, so enjoy scrolling…there is a lot to soak up! 🌴

The stair details at our Burraneer project are pretty special with our obligatory curves and a few other special touches including a curved timber hand rail and stone cladded steps 🤍🤍

The living room at our Burraneer project is anchored by the stone fireplace and then surrounded by gorgeous furniture from Jardan, it really is the perfect place to retire of an evening.
