Don’t hit snooze on smoke alarm safety ❌

From time to time, we all hit snooze when the morning alarm sounds.

When it comes to smoke alarm safety, however, any delay could be fatal.

On average, 18 people die in preventable house fires in Victoria every year.

Last weekend, we asked you to check and test your smoke alarms to coincide with the end of daylight saving.

If you did, well done! You’ve done what you can to ensure you’ll be alerted if a fire starts in your house.

If you didn’t, take this opportunity to do so.

To test your smoke alarm, simply press the ‘test’ button for about three seconds. If you don’t hear three beeps it means the battery or smoke alarm needs replacing.

Remember, only working smoke alarms save lives.

Just a reminder, that daylight savings ends this Sunday. Please check your smoke detectors expiry date, when you change the battery.
An expired detector is not guaranteed to work as it should and may void any insurance claim after a fire.

With temperatures preparing to soar next week we are finding ceiling fans are fast becoming our most requested install.☀️📈🥵
