🏠 Attended to improve the ventilation throughout the property, with the owner specifically wanting to reduce excess moisture and help prevent mould build-up.

The existing ventilation wasn't providing enough extraction in key areas, so separate exhaust fans were installed to improve steam and moisture removal.

🔧 Works completed:

🚿 Installed a separate exhaust fan for the ensuite shower
🛁 Installed a separate exhaust fan for the main bathroom shower
💨 Designed the additional ventilation to provide maximum extraction of steam and moisture
🔌 Completed all required electrical connections and switching

🌫️ Why additional ventilation?

Bathrooms can produce significant amounts of steam and moisture. If that moisture isn't removed effectively, it can contribute to condensation, dampness and mould growth over time.

💡 Good ventilation is one of the simplest ways to help manage moisture levels inside a home. Installing separate exhaust fans in high-moisture areas allows each space to be ventilated where and when it's needed.

🏠 Attended after the property’s hot water service was experiencing an issue with heating.

🔍 On inspection, the hot water storage tank was in excellent condition and the heating element was also tested and found to be operating correctly.

The fault was isolated to the thermostat, which was no longer operating correctly.

We carried out a comprehensive electrical inspection and rectification of the property, addressing a number of items throughout the home.

🏠 Attended within the hour following a defect issued by United Energy after the property’s existing overhead mains fuse box was identified as unsafe and heavily affected by rust.

⚡ United Energy had identified the condition of the existing equipment as a safety concern and required the overhead mains fuse box to be replaced before power could be safely restored.

🔍 Fault / safety concern:

🚨 Existing overhead mains fuse box was deemed unsafe
🦺 Significant rust and deterioration was present
⚡ Equipment required replacement before the electrical supply could be safely re-energised

🏠 Attended the same night following a widespread power outage caused by a high-voltage surge on the electrical grid, which affected multiple properties throughout the street.

⚡ Working alongside United Energy:

🚨 United Energy attended the street following the network fault
📄 A defect notice was issued, requiring all electrical circuits at the property to be tested
🧪 Completed comprehensive testing of all circuits
🔥 During inspection, burn marks were identified within the existing switchboard, indicating damage from the electrical surge

🔍 Fault found:

⚠️ One circuit was found with a low insulation resistance reading
🔎 Further fault-finding traced the issue to a faulty powerboard
